If you want to use the Lodge, a campsite, or any of the activities at Snowball you need to book, even if there is no charge for the activity you’re doing.
Step 1 Check Prices and Terms and Conditions
Details of our current charges can be found on the link here. Please note there is now a charge for York Scouts who want to camp.
You must also complete your own Risk Assessment for your group.
Step 2 Check Availability
You need to check that the accommodation or activity is available when you want it.
To check availability for the Lodge or Campsites, please email our Booking Secretary on bookings@snowballplantation.org.uk or telephone 07518267254.
Activities can be arranged by emailing activitybookings@snowballplantation.org.uk or telephoning 07510997207 – but when the activities are part of your stay with us this will be picked up and coordinated with your Lodge or Campsite booking.
Step 3 Create a Provisional Booking
If your dates are available, then you can create a provisional booking with the Booking Secretary. Your dates will be held for 7 days to give you time to complete the booking form and pay your deposit.
Step 4 Complete a Booking Form
Complete the Booking Form – even if there is no charge for what you’re doing, you still need to complete the booking form.
You can then complete the booking form below and email or send this to the Booking Secretary.
Make sure you’ve read the Terms and Condition of booking – they might be boring, but they are important, and you are signing the booking form to say you agree to them!
Step 5 Return the Booking Form and Payment
Send back the completed booking form with the correct payment made by cheque payable to Snowball Plantation or you can pay through bank transfer. Upon receipt of your booking form an invoice will be sent to you for payment within 7 days to secure your booking.
- If you have paid in full your booking is complete and confirmed.
- If we do not receive your booking form and payment within 7 days of making the provisional booking, we will release the dates to give other users the opportunity to book.
- If you have a balance to pay your booking will be confirmed, subject to receipt of the final payment not later than 28 days before your visit.
Step 6 Start planning your visit
You can now start to plan your visit – we’ll send you some useful information before you arrive on site.
Step 7 Pay any remaining Balance
Any remaining balance is due at least 28 days before your arrival on site. If payment is not received by then we will unfortunately have to cancel your booking and release the dates to other users. Your deposit will not be refunded to you unless someone else takes up the dates.
Step 8 Accessing the site
On receipt of the full payment for your booking you will be issued with an access code to the padlock at the gate and other information about your visit. Each booking has a separate entry code.
