Welcome to the website of Snowball Plantation. We hope this site will allow you to see the range of activities possible, perhaps give you a few ideas and answer any questions you may have about coming to visit.

Our Vision “To create an amazing, authentic Scouting experience in a natural woodland environment”

Our Mission Statement “To provide a safe environment where young people and adults can enjoy activities, nature and learning through adventure.”

WE’VE MISSED ALL OUR CUSTOMERS IN RECENT MONTHS AND ARE PLEASED THAT WE CAN NOW START TO WELCOME BACK OUR LOCAL SCOUT GROUPS TO OUR OUTDOOR AREAS ONLY.  THIS IS SUBJECT TO SPECIFIC GUIDELINES AND RISK ASSESSMENTS DETAILED BELOW.

THE LODGE REMAINS CLOSED

Snowball Plantation is set in 17 acres of mature woodland surrounded by farmland and offers a range of facilities, a fully equipped 39 bed Lodge, eight camping sites, an indoor activity building, a large multi-function field for activities, camping or events, an arena for communal activities, campfire circle and outdoor chapel.  There is also a separate activity area for pre-booked activities.

The Snowball Team aim to provide a safe environment in which young people can enjoy opportunities for constructive activities, recreation, nature and learning through their adventures at Snowball.  The size of the site and the facilities it offers makes it suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities from full, week long camps, weekends, midweek breaks, single day or evening events.

New video coming soon …..

Snowball is widely used by Scouts, Guides, youth organisations, educational bodies, training organisations, for Duke of Edinburgh Award activities and by a growing number of other users for team building, development, away days, and fields trips.

“A truly fantastic  venue which has everything required to satisfy a young persons desire for adventure and the outdoors, whilst allowing organisers peace of mind” Scout Leader 1st Heworth, York
